WHAT IS IT?
A weak, fragile hair, lacking volume and shine, and prone to falling, is a hair that needs special attention and the best care.
Your hair needs attention in cases of Progressive or Occasional Loss when, on average, more than 100-150 strands fall out per day.
What
Causes it?
-
PROGRESSIVE LOSS
Progressive hair loss is often associated with hormonal causes, genetic patterns or even old age. These factors increase the number of hair cycles, leading to thin and fragile follicles and a localized loss of density, especially in the frontal and top areas of the head.
-
OCCASIONAL LOSS
Seasonality, stress, fatigue, unbalanced diet, postpartum periods, physical trauma and some medications can be factors that promote occasional loss. This is in general characterized by a 30-50% decrease in hair volume, caused by an early transition of the follicles to the fall phase. This is a scattered, not localized loss.
-
OTHER FACTORS
Dry or oily dandruff, a very oily or sensitized scalp are situations that can coexist with hair loss or even be at its origin. Addressing the causes can make a difference in reducing hair loss.
balance and protection
in every phase of the hair cycle
In its development, each hair follicle follows a cycle that can be influenced by several factors, such as: hormonal changes, pre-existing diseases, nutrition, stress, age, among others. Hair development is a cyclic and continuous process where all mature follicles go through a growth cycle characterized by three phases: growth (anagen), rest (catagen) and shedding (telogen).
During each phase, it is essential to maintain a healthy balance of nutrients, vitamins and minerals, as well as to protect the hair against external damage, such as sources of excessive heat or the repeated use of very aggressive products.
Respect the
hair needs
Each person's hair has its own characteristics, such as thickness, texture or porosity, so knowing what your hair needs is the first step towards proper care.
To avoid or prevent hair loss, it is essential to take its specificities into account when it comes to your hair routine. This includes using products suitable for your hair type, avoiding aggressive treatments, keeping a balanced and healthy diet and avoiding excessive stress.
what
should i do?
-
1.
Choose a shampoo or shampoos suited both for your hair type and hair loss tendency, as this is the key to healthy hair and scalp.
Avoid very hot water when washing your hair, as this can cause the hair shaft to become dehydrated and fragile. You should wash your hair with warm water and then finish rinsing with cold water, to close the hair cuticle layer. -
2.
Gently detangle your hair, with the help of combing serums, foams or creams, preferably with a wide-toothed comb.
Start by detangling the ends and work your way up gradually, in order to reduce the tension in the strands and minimise the risk of breakage. -
3.
Use an appropriate sunscreen, whenever your hair is exposed to intense sun, in order to keep the cuticle layer closed, thus taking care of your hair colour and avoiding weak and brittle hair.
